4th International Microsurgery Meeting İzmir Invitation

My dear friends and colleagues,

Reconstructive microsurgery is a passion that develops and renews itself every day. It is very important for the advancement of science to pass this passion on to future generations. Our seniors have been pioneers in the world in terms of innovation and we hope to continue this tradition. The first step toward innovation is to build a strong foundation. Maintaining standardization in plastic surgery education, attaining interest and quality in microsurgery are the main objectives in this meeting. We are organizing the 4th of our microsurgery meetings, which we have organized 3 times before, where great friendships have been formed, with high scientific content and full of fun, at İzmir Acıbadem Kent Hospital. The 4th International Izmir Microsurgery Meeting would be held on 26-28th of September 2025, with the honorary president of Prof. Erin Brown. The meeting would be held with the partnership of Acıbadem Kent Hospital and Emergency Hand and Microsurgery Society. In addition to the high scientific content, when creating our program, we aimed for young microsurgeons to learn and develop microsurgery in a fun way. Programs in this meeting:

1. Live surgery in microsurgery. There would be 2 live surgeries in the last day of the meeting. Attendees could be able to ask questions to the surgeon during the operation.

2. Sewing with the masters. Opportunity to suture together under a microscope with a senior surgeon would be an unforgettable experience.

3. Microsuturing Contest. Anastomosis under microsurgery would be assessed in terms of speed and quality. Participants at the final four would be assessed not only by the jury, also by the attendees of the meeting.

4. Academic Achievement Awards in Microsurgery: Best Save Award: Posters in the field of salvage microsurgery will be accepted under the condition of not been published or presented elsewhere. Best Presentation award: Oral presentations will be accepted under the condition of not been published or presented elsewhere. Winner of the Best Presentation would be awarded.

5. Quiz competition: The person who best answers the questions about the presentations of Topnatı speakers will be rewarded.

As in previous years, this meeting is focused on supporting and helping the next generation of reconstructive surgeons. Numerous experts from Turkey and from abroad will take part to share their expertise and their friendship. I am honored to invite all of you to this exciting and fun program. We will continue the tradition of teaching, sharing and exploring as well as to go beyond to search new ideas in Reconstructive microsurgery in the beautiful city of Izmir.
